Privacy Policy
How MiseOrbit handles your personal data.
Last updated: 8 May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data MiseOrbit collects, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to our website at miseorbit.com and to anyone who interacts with us as a prospect, customer, partner, or end user of the platform.
1. Who we are
MiseOrbit is a hospitality workforce-management platform operated by MiseOrbit Ltd ("MiseOrbit", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered office and ICO registration details are listed on our Contact page once finalised.
For the purpose of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, MiseOrbit acts as the data controller for personal data we collect about you when you visit miseorbit.com or interact with our marketing channels. When customers use our platform to schedule their staff, we act as a data processor on their behalf under a separate Data Processing Agreement.
2. Data we collect
Information you give us. When you book a demo, contact sales, or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your name, business email address, company name, role, number of locations, and anything else you choose to share in a free-text field.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we collect basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and version, device type, referring URL, pages viewed, and approximate location. This is collected via Vercel Analytics and minimal first-party cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
Information from our customers. If you are an employee or manager at a MiseOrbit customer, we process the personal data your employer uploads to the platform — typically name, contact details, employment information, shift records, and availability. Your employer is the data controller for this data; we are the processor.
3. How we use your data
We use the personal data you give us to respond to your enquiry, schedule and run product demos, follow up on commercial conversations, and send relevant product updates if you have opted in. We rely on legitimate interests for B2B prospect outreach and on your consent for marketing emails.
We use automatically collected technical data to operate the website, debug issues, prevent abuse, and understand how visitors interact with our content so we can improve it.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it to make automated decisions that produce legal effects on you.
4. Sharing your data
We share your data with carefully selected service providers who help us run our business: hosting and analytics (Vercel), email (a UK or EU based email-marketing platform of our choosing), CRM (HubSpot or equivalent), and engineering tools. Each provider is bound by appropriate contractual safeguards, including UK and EU Standard Contractual Clauses where data leaves the UK.
We may disclose your data where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MiseOrbit, our customers, or others.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers are located outside the UK and EEA, including in the United States. Where this is the case, we use the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure your data remains protected to UK GDPR standards.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep prospect data for as long as it is reasonably useful to our commercial relationship and a maximum of 24 months from last meaningful interaction. Customer-account data is retained for the duration of the contract plus a defined retention period set out in the Data Processing Agreement, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
If you have subscribed to our newsletter, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to request its correction or deletion, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time where consent is the legal basis we rely on.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@miseorbit.com. We will respond within one calendar month.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
8. Security
We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including TLS in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive fields, role-based access control, regular security reviews, and a documented incident-response process. Where a personal data breach is likely to result in a high risk to you, we will notify you without undue delay.
9. Cookies
Our use of cookies and similar technologies is described in our Cookie Policy.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. If a change is material, we will draw it to your attention by email or via a prominent notice on the site.
